Event Planning Factors

Event planning consultancy

Continuously noting our experiences and observation within the events industry is key to our success in offering a consulting service to our client base which we believe enhances our clients events and ultimately adds value. Please note below some of our observations with regards to successful event planning:

  • Headline events are not always necessary, careful consideration of your target audience in terms of their personal interests will have more of an impact than trying to impress them with a private box at a major sporting event
  • Carefully analyse the objectives of the event, if you need to spend quality time with your clients and discuss certain issues a day at a Formula 1 event would not offer many peaceful moments
  • Give guests as much notice as possible – if you don’t another invitation will come along…
  • Consider the ‘couple tactic’ – inviting your client’s spouse may mean an invitation that would have ordinarily been turned down is now accepted. N.B. Ensure itineraries consider spouses when under construction
  • Think outside of the box – there are options outside of sport
  • Make your invitation/proposal attractive – this can be achieved in a number of ways; the invite approach, the effort that has gone into the event planning or simply listening to what your client/guest enjoys
